Multi Sensor Core Logger from Geotek
The Multi Sensor Core Logger (MSCL) can simultaneously measure several parameters at the same interval and at high resolution. This device can accept sediment cores from various lengths ant diameters. It also accepts whole or split cores. Our MSCL is currently set up with :
- Bulk density sensor
- P wave velocity sensor
- Electrical resistivity sensor
- Diffuse spectral reflectance (Minolta on line spectrophotometer)
- Magnetic susceptibility sensors (two loops and a point sensor
- A Geoscan IV linescan digital imaging system
- Integrated X-ray fluorescence scanner for chemical composition of the sediments
