Laboratory

The R/V Coriolis II

Monday 9 November 2015

In close collaboration with REFORMAR, the laboratory contributed to the geophysical and coring capabilities of the R/V Coriolis II. The vessel can now deploy box, gravity, piston and multi-corers. The ship can also map the seafloor and its sediments with precision in shallow and deep waters with its two multibeam echosounders (Kongsberg EM-2040 and EM-302) and various geophysical instruments (boomer, sparkers, subbottom profilers, side-scan and interferometric sonars, marine magnetometer).
